NGO Capacity Building —Corporation Social Responsibility  Network (NGOCB-CSRN)

Dear Sir or Madam:

In China’s urban development, the 120-million-strong rural labour army has made its huge contribution. Yet, the surviving conditions as well as their rights protection have hardly been satisfactory. Nonetheless, there has been a responsive upsurge of urban NGOs specialized in providing various kinds of services for them. Even under some harsh environment and with limited resources, their earnest work has at length started to produce fruits of all colours, not only offering them with much-needed assistance, but also contributing to cohesive development in this changing society.

Under the circumstances, we —NGO Capacity Building — Corporation Social Responsibility Network (NGOCB-CSRN), plus 12 service agencies for rural workers, plan to set up “First-Aid Fund” for the rural workers in Beijing, who happen to get into difficulty due to some work-related accidents or serious illness while working here in the Capital.

  • Target:RMB200,000 needed for the “First-Aid Fund”;
  • Mode of Fund Raising Activity:Sales of our calendar 2006, entitled “My Downtown Friends” that will provide some introduction to our 12 service agencies for rural workers;
  • Organisational Donation and Return:(one of the following choices or both)

Whereas you and your organization are ardent supporters for the development of China’s public welfare, we earnestly hope to have your helping hands in the project. As well, we can assist, at your request for sure, to deliver them to our rural folks working here or to those public offices, companies and social organizations concerned.

“Out the roses, aroma remains” as Chinese have it. Your helping hand will surely bring a little ray of sunshine to the lives of our rural folks and a whiff of warmness to our cohesive community.
